²⁴ Then the Lord ^(A)rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Lord out of heaven, ²⁵ and ^(B)He overthrew those cities, and all the surrounding area, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground.

^28 [a]It was the same as happened in ^(A)the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, and they were building; ²⁹ but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and ^[b]brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. ³⁰ It will be ^[c]just the same on the day that the Son of Man ^(B)is revealed.
