And (A)I will bring a morsel of bread, that (B)you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, (C)inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”

They said, “Do as you have said.”

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.

Let me get you something to eat,(A) so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”

“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[a] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”(B)

Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf(C) and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.
