Genesis 18:5-7

⁵I’ll bring some food for you,^[a] and after that you may continue your journey, since you have come to visit your servant.”

So they replied, “Very well! Do what you’ve proposed.”

⁶Abraham hurried into the tent and told Sarah, “Quick! Take three measures^[b] of the best flour, knead it, and make some flat bread.”

⁷Next, Abraham ran to the herd, found a choice and tender calf, and gave it to the young men, who went off in a hurry to prepare it.

⁵Let me get you something to eat,^(A) so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.”

“Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.”

⁶So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs^[a] of the finest flour and knead it and bake some bread.”^(B)

⁷Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf^(C) and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.
