Genesis 18:19-21

19 For I have (A)chosen[a] him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.” 20 Then the Lord said, “Because (B)the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, 21 (C)I will go down to see whether they have done altogether[b] according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, (D)I will know.”

New International Version
19 For I have chosen him(A), so that he will direct his children(B) and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord(C) by doing what is right and just,(D) so that the Lord will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”(E)
20 Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom(F) and Gomorrah is so great(G) and their sin so grievous(H) 21 that I will go down(I) and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.”
