20 And as concerning Ishmael, I have heard thee: lo, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him [a]exceedingly: twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make a great nation of him.
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee, the next (A)year at this season.
22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

New International Version
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers.(A) He will be the father of twelve rulers,(B) and I will make him into a great nation.(C) 21 But my covenant(D) I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you(E) by this time next year.”(F) 22 When he had finished speaking with Abraham, God went up from him.(G)
