Genesis 16:8-10

8 He said, “Hagar, Sarai’s slave woman, (A)from where have you come, and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai.” 9 So the angel of the Lord said to her, “Return to your mistress, and submit [a]to her authority.” 10 The (B)angel of the Lord also said to her, “(C)I will greatly multiply your [b]descendants so that [c]they will be too many to count.”

“I’m running away from my mistress Sarai,” she answered.
9 Then the angel of the Lord told her, “Go back to your mistress and submit to her.” 10 The angel added, “I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count.”(C)
