Genesis 14:21-23
New International Version
21 The king of Sodom(A) said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods(B) for yourself.”
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom,(C) “With raised hand(D) I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High,(E) Creator of heaven and earth,(F) 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you,(G) not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’

21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods (spoils of battle) for yourself.” 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand and sworn an oath to the Lord God Most High, the Creator and Possessor of heaven and earth, 23 that I would not take anything that is yours, from a thread to a sandal strap, so you could not say, ‘I [the King of Sodom] have made Abram rich.’
