¹³ Then ^[a]a fugitive came and told Abram the ^(A)Hebrew. Now he was dwelling by the ^[b](B)oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, and these were ^[c](C)in a covenant with Abram.

¹⁵ Then the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom ^[a]was named Shiphrah and the other ^[b]was named Puah;
