9 Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself from me. If you take the left hand, then I will go to the right, or if you take the right hand, then I will go to the left.” 10 Lot looked about him and saw that the plain of the Jordan was well watered everywhere like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, in the direction of Zoar; this was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.(A) 11 So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Jordan, and Lot journeyed eastward, and they separated from each other.

9 Is not the whole land before you? Let’s part company. If you go to the left, I’ll go to the right; if you go to the right, I’ll go to the left.”(A)
10 Lot looked around and saw that the whole plain(B) of the Jordan toward Zoar(C) was well watered, like the garden of the Lord,(D) like the land of Egypt.(E) (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom(F) and Gomorrah.)(G) 11 So Lot chose for himself the whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east.
