⁵ Instead, turn to the place the Lord your God chooses^(A) from all your tribes to put his name for his dwelling and go there.

⁶ Sacrifice the Passover animal only at the place where the Lord your God chooses to have his name dwell. Do this in the evening as the sun sets at the same time of day you departed from Egypt.

¹¹ Rejoice^(A) before the Lord your God in the place where he chooses to have his name dwell—you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, the Levite within your city gates, as well as the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow among you.

³ The Lord said to him:

I have heard your prayer and petition you have made before me. I have consecrated this temple you have built, to put^[a] my name there forever;^(A) my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.^(B)
