²⁷ So God created^(A) mankind^(B) in his own image,^(C)
    in the image of God^(D) he created them;
    male and female^(E) he created them.^(F)

³ “Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and people of Judah,
    judge between me and my vineyard.^(A)
4 What more could have been done for my vineyard
    than I have done for it?^(B)
When I looked for good grapes,
    why did it yield only bad?^(C)
5 Now I will tell you
    what I am going to do to my vineyard:
I will take away its hedge,
    and it will be destroyed;^(D)
I will break down its wall,^(E)
    and it will be trampled.^(F)
6 I will make it a wasteland,^(G)
    neither pruned nor cultivated,
    and briers and thorns^(H) will grow there.
I will command the clouds
    not to rain^(I) on it.”
