New American Standard Bible
14 Then God said, “Let there be [a](A)lights in the [b](B)expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and they shall [c]serve as (C)signs and for (D)seasons, and for days and years; 15 and they [d]shall serve as lights in the [e]expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 God made the two great lights, the (E)greater light [f]to govern the day, and the lesser light [g]to govern the night; He made (F)the stars also. 17 (G)God placed them in the [h]expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and [i]to (H)govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:14-18
King James Version
14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
