5 Questo è il libro della genealogia di Adamo. Quando Dio creò l'uomo, lo fece a somiglianza di Dio; 2 maschio e femmina li creò, li benedisse e li chiamò uomini quando furono creati. 3 Adamo aveva centotrenta anni quando generò a sua immagine, a sua somiglianza, un figlio e lo chiamò Set. 4 Dopo aver generato Set, Adamo visse ancora ottocento anni e generò figli e figlie. 5 L'intera vita di Adamo fu di novecentotrenta anni; poi morì.
6 Set aveva centocinque anni quando generò Enos; 7 dopo aver generato Enos, Set visse ancora ottocentosette anni e generò figli e figlie. 8 L'intera vita di Set fu di novecentododici anni; poi morì.

21 Enoch aveva sessantacinque anni quando generò Matusalemme. 22 Enoch camminò con Dio; dopo aver generato Matusalemme, visse ancora per trecento anni e generò figli e figlie. 23 L'intera vita di Enoch fu di trecentosessantacique anni. 24 Poi Enoch cammino con Dio e non fu più perché Dio l'aveva preso.
25 Matusalemme aveva centottantasette anni quando generò Lamech; 26 Matusalemme, dopo aver generato Lamech, visse ancora settecentottantadue anni e generò figli e figlie. 27 L'intera vita di Matusalemme fu di novecentosessantanove anni; poi morì.
28 Lamech aveva centottantadue anni quando generò un figlio 29 e lo chiamò Noè, dicendo: «Costui ci consolerà del nostro lavoro e della fatica delle nostre mani, a causa del suolo che il Signore ha maledetto». 30 Lamech, dopo aver generato Noè, visse ancora cinquecentonovantacinque anni e generò figli e figlie. 31 L'intera vita di Lamech fu di settecentosettantasette anni; poi morì.
32 Noè aveva cinquecento anni quando generò Sem, Cam e Iafet.

5 This is the written account of Adam and his descendants.
When God created humans,
he made them in the likeness of God.
2 He created them male and female.
He blessed them and called them humans
when he created them.
3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father ⌞of a son⌟ in his own likeness, in his own image. He named him Seth. 4 After Adam became the father of Seth, he lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Adam lived a total of 930 years; then he died.
6 When Seth was 105 years old, he became the father of Enosh. 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Seth lived a total of 912 years; then he died.
9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he became the father of Kenan. 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Enosh lived a total of 905 years; then he died.
12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he became the father of Mahalalel. 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Kenan lived a total of 910 years; then he died.
15 When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he became the father of Jared. 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years; then he died.
18 When Jared was 162 years old, he became the father of Enoch. 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Jared lived a total of 962 years; then he died.
21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he became the father of Methuselah. 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God; then he was gone because God took him.
25 When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech. 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Methuselah lived a total of 969 years; then he died.
28 When Lamech was 182 years old, he became the father of a son. 29 He named him Noah [Relief], and said, “This child will bring us relief from the work and painful labor of our hands since the Lord has cursed the ground.” 30 After Lamech became the father of Noah, he lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Lamech lived a total of 777 years; then he died.
32 When Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

In the day that God created man, He made him in (C)the likeness of God. 2 He created them (D)male and female, and (E)blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son (F)in his own likeness, after his image, and (G)named him Seth. 4 After he begot Seth, (H)the days of Adam were eight hundred years; (I)and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; (J)and he died.

15 Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared. 16 After he begot Jared, Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years, and had sons and daughters. 17 So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died.
18 Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot (L)Enoch. 19 After he begot Enoch, Jared lived eight hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 20 So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died.
21 Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Methuselah. 22 After he begot Methuselah, Enoch (M)walked with God three hundred years, and had sons and daughters. 23 So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And (N)Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God (O)took him.
25 Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. 26 After he begot Lamech, Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and had sons and daughters. 27 So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.
28 Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and had a son. 29 And he called his name (P)Noah,[b] saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground (Q)which the Lord has cursed.” 30 After he begot Noah, Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years, and had sons and daughters. 31 So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah begot (R)Shem, Ham, (S)and Japheth.
