8 If he said, ‘The speckled ones will be your wages,’ then all the flocks gave birth to speckled young; and if he said, ‘The streaked ones will be your wages,’(A) then all the flocks bore streaked young. 9 So God has taken away your father’s livestock(B) and has given them to me.(C)
10 “In breeding season I once had a dream(D) in which I looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the flock were streaked, speckled or spotted. 11 The angel of God(E) said to me in the dream,(F) ‘Jacob.’ I answered, ‘Here I am.’(G) 12 And he said, ‘Look up and see that all the male goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or spotted,(H) for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to you.(I)

8 If he said thus: (A)‘The speckled shall be your wages,’ then all the flocks bore speckled. And if he said thus: ‘The streaked shall be your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked. 9 So God has (B)taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.
10 “And it happened, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and saw in a dream, and behold, the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted. 11 Then (C)the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’ 12 And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for (D)I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.
