15 Mas ela respondeu: “Não lhe foi suficiente tomar de mim o marido? Vai tomar também as mandrágoras que o meu filho trouxe?” Então disse Raquel: “Jacó se deitará com você esta noite, em troca das mandrágoras trazidas pelo seu filho”.

—Peço a você que me dê algumas das mandrágoras do seu filho.
15 Mas Lia respondeu:
—Tirou de mim o meu marido. Agora quer também tirar as mandrágoras do meu filho?
Então Raquel lhe disse:
—Se me der as mandrágoras do seu filho, poderá dormir com Jacó esta noite.

14 During wheat harvest,(A) Reuben went out into the fields and found some mandrake plants,(B) which he brought to his mother Leah. Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son’s mandrakes.”
15 But she said to her, “Wasn’t it enough(C) that you took away my husband? Will you take my son’s mandrakes too?”
“Very well,” Rachel said, “he can sleep with you tonight in return for your son’s mandrakes.”(D)

14 And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son's mandrakes.
15 And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son's mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son's mandrakes.
