25 Then he said:

(A)“Cursed be Canaan;
A (B)servant of servants
He shall be to his brethren.”

26 And he said:

(C)“Blessed be the Lord,
The God of Shem,
And may Canaan be his servant.
27 May God (D)enlarge Japheth,
(E)And may he dwell in the tents of Shem;
And may Canaan be his servant.”

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!(D)
    May Canaan be the slave(E) of Shem.
27 May God extend Japheth’s[a] territory;(F)
    may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,(G)
    and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”

“May the Lord, the God of Shem, be blessed,
    and may Canaan be his servant!
27 May God expand the territory of Japheth!
May Japheth share the prosperity of Shem,[a]
    and may Canaan be his servant.”
