²² Noah did everything just as God commanded him.^(A)

⁵ And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.^(A)

⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”^(A)

The Wise and Foolish Builders^(A)

²⁴ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice^(B) is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. ²⁶ But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. ²⁷ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

¹⁶ Moses did everything just as the Lord commanded^(A) him.

¹⁶ The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah.^(A) Then the Lord shut him in.

⁷ By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen,^(A) in holy fear built an ark^(B) to save his family.^(C) By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.^(D)

⁸ By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance,^(E) obeyed and went,^(F) even though he did not know where he was going.

¹⁴ You are my friends^(A) if you do what I command.^(B)

²³ and set out the bread^(A) on it before the Lord, as the Lord commanded^(B) him.

⁹ male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.^(A)
