⁴ And when the days of weeping for him were past, Joseph spoke to the household of Pharaoh, saying, ^(A)“If now I have found favor in your eyes, please speak in the ears of Pharaoh, saying,

² He went up to the entrance of the king's gate, for no one was allowed to enter the king's gate clothed in sackcloth.

³ and said, “O Lord,^[a] if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant.
