²⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but ^(A)God will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land ^(B)that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

¹⁶ Go and ^(A)gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, ^(B)“I have observed you and what has been done to you in Egypt, ¹⁷ and I promise that ^(C)I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, a land ^(D)flowing with milk and honey.”’

^12 (A)The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.”

^3 (A)Sojourn in this land, and ^(B)I will be with you and will bless you, for ^(C)to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(D)the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

¹³ And behold, ^(A)the Lord stood above it^[a] and said, ^(B)“I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. ^(C)The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

²¹ Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am about to die, but ^(A)God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers.

⁴ I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also ^(A)bring you up again, and ^(B)Joseph's hand shall close your eyes.”

¹⁸ On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ^(A)“To your offspring I give^[a] this land, from ^(B)the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,

⁷ And he said to him, “I am the Lord who ^(A)brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans ^(B)to give you this land to possess.”

¹⁷ Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land, for I will give it to you.”
