^20 (A)But as for you, you meant evil against me; but ^(B)God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those ^(A)who are the called according to His purpose.

⁵ But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here; ^(A)for God sent me before you to preserve life. ⁶ For these two years the ^(B)famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. ⁷ And God ^(C)sent me before you to preserve a ^[a]posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. ⁸ So now it was not you who sent me here, but ^(D)God; and He has made me ^(E)a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ^(F)ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

¹⁸ Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, ^(A)they conspired against him to kill him. ¹⁹ Then they said to one another, “Look, this ^[a]dreamer is coming! ^20 (B)Come therefore, let us now kill him and cast him into some pit; and we shall say, ‘Some wild beast has devoured him.’ We shall see what will become of his dreams!”

²³ Him, ^(A)being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, ^(B)you ^[a]have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

²⁶ To you ^(A)first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, ^(B)in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

^13 (A)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, ^(B)glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you ^(C)delivered up and ^(D)denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. ¹⁴ But you denied ^(E)the Holy One ^(F)and the Just, and ^(G)asked for a murderer to be granted to you, ¹⁵ and killed the ^[a]Prince of life, ^(H)whom God raised from the dead, ^(I)of which we are witnesses.
