²⁶ Your father’s blessings are greater
    than the blessings of the ancient mountains,
    than^[a] the bounty of the age-old hills.^(A)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,^(B)
    on the brow of the prince among^[b] his brothers.^(C)

¹⁵ with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains^(A)
    and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
¹⁶ with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
    and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.^(B)
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
    on the brow of the prince among^[a] his brothers.^(C)

⁶ He stood, and shook the earth;
    he looked, and made the nations tremble.
The ancient mountains crumbled^(A)
    and the age-old hills^(B) collapsed^(C)—
    but he marches on forever.^(D)

⁶ To the roots of the mountains^(A) I sank down;
    the earth beneath barred me in forever.
But you, Lord my God,
    brought my life up from the pit.^(B)

⁵ Hear the word of the Lord,
    you who tremble at his word:^(A)
“Your own people who hate^(B) you,
    and exclude you because of my name, have said,
‘Let the Lord be glorified,
    that we may see your joy!’
    Yet they will be put to shame.^(C)

¹⁰ Though the mountains be shaken^(A)
    and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love^(B) for you will not be shaken^(C)
    nor my covenant^(D) of peace^(E) be removed,”
    says the Lord, who has compassion^(F) on you.

¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame,^(A)
    but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.”^(B)

¹⁷ and he sent a man before them—
    Joseph, sold as a slave.^(A)
18 They bruised his feet with shackles,^(B)
    his neck was put in irons,
¹⁹ till what he foretold^(C) came to pass,
    till the word^(D) of the Lord proved him true.
²⁰ The king sent and released him,
    the ruler of peoples set him free.^(E)
21 He made him master of his household,
    ruler over all he possessed,
²² to instruct his princes^(F) as he pleased
    and teach his elders wisdom.^(G)
