¹¹ And God said to him, ^(A)“I am God Almighty:^[a] be ^(B)fruitful and multiply. ^(C)A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.^[b]

¹³ And behold, ^(A)the Lord stood above it^[a] and said, ^(B)“I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac. ^(C)The land on which you lie I will give to you and to your offspring.

¹⁹ And my God ^(A)will supply every need of yours ^(B)according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

¹⁷ Beware ^(A)lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’

⁸ for while ^(A)bodily training is of some value, godliness ^(B)is of value in every way, as ^(C)it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.

¹³ And ^(A)of Joseph he said,

Moses' Final Blessing on Israel

33 This is the blessing with which Moses ^(A)the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death.

² And all these blessings shall come upon you and ^(A)overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. ³ Blessed shall you be in the city, and ^(B)blessed shall you be in the field. ⁴ Blessed shall be ^(C)the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. ⁵ Blessed shall be your basket and your ^(D)kneading bowl. ⁶ Blessed shall you be ^(E)when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

⁷ “The Lord ^(F)will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. ⁸ The Lord ^(G)will command the blessing on you in your barns and ^(H)in all that you undertake. ^(I)And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. ^9 (J)The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. ¹⁰ And ^(K)all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are ^(L)called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be ^(M)afraid of you. ¹¹ And ^(N)the Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in ^(O)the fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. ¹² The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, ^(P)to give the rain to your land in its season and ^(Q)to bless all the work of your hands. And ^(R)you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
