²⁰ So he blessed them that day, saying,

So he put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh.

¹¹ Then all the people who were at the gate, along with the elders, said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your house like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel. May you produce children^[a] in Ephrathah and bestow a name in Bethlehem;^{(A) 12} and, through the children that the Lord will give you by this young woman, may your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah.”^(B)

⁶⁰ And they blessed Rebekah and said to her,

¹⁶ These were the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses changed the name of Hoshea son of Nun to Joshua.^(A)

¹¹ from the tribe of Joseph (that is, from the tribe of Manasseh), Gaddi son of Susi;

⁸ from the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea son of Nun;^(A)

²² Next the standard of the camp of Ephraim set out, company by company, and over the whole company was Elishama son of Ammihud.^{(A) 23} Over the company of the tribe of Manasseh was Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,

⁵⁴ On the eighth day Gamaliel son of Pedahzur, the leader of the Manassites:^(A)

⁴⁸ On the seventh day Elishama son of Ammihud, the leader of the Ephraimites:^(A)

¹⁸ “On the west side shall be the regimental encampment of Ephraim by companies. The leader of the people of Ephraim shall be Elishama son of Ammihud, ¹⁹ with a company as enrolled of forty thousand five hundred. ²⁰ Next to him shall be the tribe of Manasseh. The leader of the people of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel son of Pedahzur,^{(A) 21} with a company as enrolled of thirty-two thousand two hundred.
