¹⁸ Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father! Since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.”

⁸ But I replied, ‘By no means, Lord, for nothing profane or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’

¹⁴ But Peter said, “By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is profane or unclean.”^(A)

⁹ But the wise replied, ‘No! there will not be enough for you and for us; you had better go to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.’

¹¹ No, never! Your men may go and serve the Lord, for that is what you are asking.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.^(A)
