¹⁰ Now ^(A)the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them near him, and he ^(B)kissed them and embraced them.

²⁷ And he came near and ^(A)kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said:

27 Now it came to pass, when Isaac was ^(A)old and ^(B)his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son.”

And he answered him, “Here I am.”

Separated from God

²⁰ And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, ^(A)“Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”

And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”

¹⁵ Eli was ninety-eight years old, and ^(A)his eyes were so ^[a]dim that he could not see.

² And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow ^(A)so dim that he could not see,
