³ Then Joseph said to his brothers, ^(A)“I am Joseph; does my father still live?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed in his presence.

¹³ And the ^(A)second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph’s family became known to the Pharaoh.

⁵ And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. ^[a]It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

Mourning for the Pierced One

^10 (A)“And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will ^(B)look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him ^(C)as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

⁷ Behold, He is coming with ^(A)clouds, and every eye will see Him, even ^(B)they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.

³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen ^(A)a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ^(A)“Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

⁵⁰ for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, ^(A)“Be^[a] of good cheer! It is I; do not be ^(B)afraid.”

²⁶ And when the disciples saw Him ^(A)walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ^[a]“Be of good ^(B)cheer! ^[b]It is I; do not be afraid.”
