³³ Now therefore, please let your servant remain instead of the boy as a servant to my lord, and let the boy go back with his brothers.

¹⁶ By this we know love, that ^(A)he laid down his life for us, and ^(B)we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

²² This makes Jesus the guarantor of ^(A)a better covenant.

³ For ^(A)I could wish that I myself were ^(B)accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,^[a] my kinsmen ^(C)according to the flesh.

⁷ For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— ⁸ but ^(A)God shows his love for us in that ^(B)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Since, therefore, ^(C)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from ^(D)the wrath of God. ¹⁰ For if ^(E)while we were enemies ^(F)we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by ^(G)his life.

³² But now, if ^(A)you will forgive their sin—but if not, please ^(B)blot me out of ^(C)your book that you have written.”
