³⁴ Then he took servings to them from before him, but Benjamin’s serving was ^(A)five times as much as any of theirs. So they drank and were merry with him.

²² He gave to all of them, to each man, ^(A)changes of garments; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver and ^(B)five changes of garments.

⁸ And David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and ^(A)wash your feet.” So Uriah departed from the king’s house, and a gift of food from the king followed him.

¹⁰ And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”

¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a ^[a]winebibber, ^(A)a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ ^(B)But wisdom is justified by her ^[b]children.”

²² Now Samuel took Saul and his servant and brought them into the hall, and had them sit in the place of honor among those who were invited; there were about thirty persons. ²³ And Samuel said to the cook, “Bring the portion which I gave you, of which I said to you, ‘Set it apart.’ ” ²⁴ So the cook took up ^(A)the thigh with its upper part and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, “Here it is, what was kept back. It was set apart for you. Eat; for until this time it has been kept for you, since I said I invited the people.” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
