²⁷ At the place where they stopped for the night one of them opened his sack to get feed for his donkey,^(A) and he saw his silver in the mouth of his sack.^(B)

²⁴ At a lodging place on the way, the Lord met Moses^[a] and was about to kill^(A) him.

³⁴ He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.

⁷ and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

¹¹ Each of them quickly lowered his sack to the ground and opened it.

²¹ But at the place where we stopped for the night we opened our sacks and each of us found his silver—the exact weight—in the mouth of his sack. So we have brought it back with us.^{(A) 22} We have also brought additional silver with us to buy food. We don’t know who put our silver in our sacks.”
