⁴ But He answered and said, “It is written, ^(A)‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Hezekiah’s Life Extended^(A)

38 In ^(B)those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ^(C)‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’ ”

⁹ “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: “God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not ^[a]tarry.

⁴ If you send our brother with us, we will go down and buy you food.
