⁴ The captain of the guard^(A) assigned them to Joseph,^(B) and he attended them.

After they had been in custody^(C) for some time,

⁷ So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody^(A) with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”^(B)

¹⁰ They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.^(A)

¹⁸ They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.^(A)

³ They seized Peter and John and, because it was evening, they put them in jail^(A) until the next day.
