Joseph’s Brothers Go to Egypt

42 When Jacob learned that there was grain in Egypt,^(A) he said to his sons, “Why do you just keep looking at each other?”

¹² When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our forefathers on their first visit.^(A)

¹⁰ The Lord said to Joshua, “Stand up! What are you doing down on your face?

⁷ On the contrary, they recognized that I had been entrusted with the task^(A) of preaching the gospel to the uncircumcised,^[a](B) just as Peter^(C) had been to the circumcised.^[b]

⁴ Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.”

³ At the end of the seven years she came back from the land of the Philistines and went to appeal to the king for her house and land. ⁴ The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and had said, “Tell me about all the great things Elisha has done.”
