⁴³ He had him ride in the chariot of his second-in-command, and they cried out in front of him, “Bow the knee!”^[a] Thus he set him over all the land of Egypt.^(A)

⁸ So it was not you who sent me here but God; he has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt.^(A)

¹⁰ and rescued him from all his afflictions and enabled him to win favor and to show wisdom when he stood before Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who appointed him ruler over Egypt and over all his household.^(A)

²⁶ And they told him, “Joseph is still alive! He is even ruler over all the land of Egypt.” He was stunned; he could not believe them.

⁶ Now Joseph was governor over the land; it was he who sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph’s brothers came and bowed themselves before him with their faces to the ground.^(A)

⁸ let royal robes be brought, which the king has worn, and a horse that the king has ridden, with a royal crown on its head.^{(A) 9} Let the robes and the horse be handed over to one of the king’s most noble officials; let him^[a] robe the man whom the king wishes to honor, and let him^[b] conduct the man on horseback through the open square of the city, proclaiming before him: ‘Thus shall it be done for the man whom the king wishes to honor.’ ”^(B)

³³ Then the man, the lord of the land, said to us, ‘By this I shall know that you are honest men: leave one of your brothers with me, take grain for the famine of your households, and go your way.^(A)
