¹⁴ But ^(A)remember me when it is well with you, and ^(B)please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house.

¹² Now therefore, I beg you, ^(A)swear to me by the Lord, since I have shown you kindness, that you also will show kindness to ^(B)my father’s house, and ^(C)give me ^[a]a true token,

¹⁴ And you shall not only show me the kindness of the Lord while I still live, that I may not die; ¹⁵ but ^(A)you shall not ^[a]cut off your kindness from my ^[b]house forever, no, not when the Lord has cut off every one of the enemies of David from the face of the earth.”

⁴² Then he said ^[a]to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”

⁷ “But show kindness to the sons of ^(A)Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be among those who ^(B)eat at your table, for so ^(C)they came to me when I fled from Absalom your brother.

²¹ Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it.

David’s Kindness to Mephibosheth

9 Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may ^(A)show him ^[a]kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

³¹ that this will be no grief to you, nor offense of heart to my lord, either that you have shed blood without cause, or that my lord has avenged himself. But when the Lord has dealt well with my lord, then remember your maidservant.”
