⁹ There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. ^(A)How then can I do this great wickedness, and ^(B)sin against God?”

^13 (A)So David said to Nathan, ^(B)“I have sinned against the Lord.”

And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has ^(C)put away your sin; you shall not die.

¹⁸ Then Joseph said to them the third day, “Do this and live, ^(A)for I fear God:

⁶ And God said to him in a dream, “Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For ^(A)I also withheld you from sinning ^(B)against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her.

⁹ Whoever has been ^(A)born of God does not sin, for ^(B)His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

¹⁹ Now ^(A)the works of the flesh are evident, which are: ^[a]adultery, ^[b]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, ²¹ envy, ^[c]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that ^(B)those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. ^(A)Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor ^[a]homosexuals, nor ^[b]sodomites, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

² Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.
