⁶ So Potiphar gave Joseph complete administrative responsibility over everything he owned. With Joseph there, he didn’t worry about a thing—except what kind of food to eat!

Joseph was a very handsome and well-built young man,

¹² So Jesse sent for him. He was dark and handsome, with beautiful eyes.

And the Lord said, “This is the one; anoint him.”

¹⁷ There was no sparkle in Leah’s eyes,^[a] but Rachel had a beautiful figure and a lovely face.

³² The waiters served Joseph at his own table, and his brothers were served at a separate table. The Egyptians who ate with Joseph sat at their own table, because Egyptians despise Hebrews and refuse to eat with them.

²³ The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.

⁸ But Joseph refused. “Look,” he told her, “my master trusts me with everything in his entire household.
