⁴ So Joseph ^(A)found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him ^(B)overseer of his house, and all that he had he put ^[a]under his authority.

¹⁹ Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die.

^28 (A)Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit ^(B)has made you overseers, to shepherd the church ^[a]of God ^(C)which He purchased ^(D)with His own blood.

²¹ But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He ^(A)gave^[a] him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. ²² And the keeper of the prison ^(B)committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing.

⁸ But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand.

¹⁰ And Jacob said, “No, please, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present from my hand, inasmuch as I ^(A)have seen your face as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

² So Abraham said ^(A)to the oldest servant of his house, who ^(B)ruled over all that he had, “Please, ^(C)put your hand under my thigh,

³ and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.
