⁴ So Joseph ^(A)found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house ^(B)and put him in charge of all that he had.

¹⁹ Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die.

^28 (A)Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all ^(B)the flock, in which ^(C)the Holy Spirit has made you ^(D)overseers, ^(E)to care for ^(F)the church of God,^[a] which he ^(G)obtained ^(H)with his own blood.^[b]

²¹ But ^(A)the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love ^(B)and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. ²² And the keeper of the prison ^(C)put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison. Whatever was done there, he was the one who did it.

⁸ But he refused and said to his master's wife, “Behold, because of me my master has no concern about anything in the house, and ^(A)he has put everything that he has in my charge.

¹⁰ Jacob said, “No, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. ^(A)For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me.

² And Abraham said to his servant, ^(A)the oldest of his household, who had charge of all that he had, ^(B)“Put your hand under my thigh,

³ and said, “O Lord,^[a] if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant.
