² The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man; he was in the house of his Egyptian master.^{(A) 3} His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to prosper in his hands.^{(B) 4} So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him; he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.^(C)

¹⁸ But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, so that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors, as he is doing today.^(A)

¹² Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.^(A)

²¹ And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, to seek his God, he did with all his heart, and he prospered.
