^7 (A)For their possessions were too great for them to dwell together, and ^(B)the land where they were strangers could not support them because of their livestock.

⁶ Now ^(A)the land was not able to ^[a]support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together.

⁸ Also ^(A)I give to you and your descendants after you the land ^(B)in^[a] which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and ^(C)I will be their God.”

⁹ By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, ^(A)dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, ^(B)the heirs with him of the same promise;

¹¹ Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.
