El SEÑOR ratifica su pacto a Jacob
9 Dios se apareció otra vez a Jacob después de haber regresado de Padan-aram, y lo bendijo. 10 Le dijo Dios: “Tu nombre es Jacob, pero no se llamará más tu nombre Jacob[a]. Tu nombre será Israel”[b]. Y llamó su nombre Israel. 11 También le dijo Dios: “Yo soy el Dios Todopoderoso. Sé fecundo y multiplícate. De ti procederán una nación y un conjunto de naciones; reyes saldrán de tus lomos. 12 La tierra que he dado a Abraham y a Isaac, te la daré a ti; a tus descendientes después de ti, les daré la tierra”.

9 After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram,[a](A) God appeared to him again and blessed him.(B) 10 God said to him, “Your name is Jacob,[b] but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel.[c]”(C) So he named him Israel.
11 And God said to him, “I am God Almighty[d];(D) be fruitful and increase in number.(E) A nation(F) and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants.(G) 12 The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you.(H)”(I)
