³⁸ These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your flock.

² “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: ^(A)“Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks? ^3 (B)You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you ^(C)slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. ^4 (D)The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor ^(E)sought what was lost; but with ^(F)force and ^[a]cruelty you have ruled them.

⁴ “Blessed shall be ^(A)the ^[a]fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

^26 (A)No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will ^(B)fulfill the number of your days.

³⁰ For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the Lord has blessed you ^[a]since my coming. And now, when shall I also ^(A)provide for my own house?”

²⁷ And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for ^(A)I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.”
