²⁷ Why did you run off secretly and deceive me? Why didn’t you tell me,^(A) so I could send you away with joy and singing to the music of timbrels^(B) and harps?^(C)

²⁰ Then Miriam^(A) the prophet,^(B) Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels^(C) and dancing.^(D)

²⁷ So Gideon took ten of his servants and did as the Lord told him. But because he was afraid of his family and the townspeople, he did it at night rather than in the daytime.

⁴ So Jacob sent word to Rachel and Leah to come out to the fields where his flocks were. ⁵ He said to them, “I see that your father’s^(C) attitude toward me is not what it was before,^(D) but the God of my father has been with me.^(E)

⁵⁹ So they sent their sister Rebekah on her way,^(A) along with her nurse^(B) and Abraham’s servant and his men. ⁶⁰ And they blessed^(C) Rebekah and said to her,
