²⁶ And Laban said to Jacob: “What have you done, that you have stolen away unknown to me, and ^(A)carried away my daughters like captives taken with the sword?

² and had taken captive the ^(A)women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.

²⁹ And David said, “What have I done now? ^(A)Is^[a] there not a cause?”

⁴³ Then Saul said to Jonathan, ^(A)“Tell me what you have done.”

And Jonathan told him, and said, ^(B)“I only tasted a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. So now I must die!”

¹⁹ Now Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I beg you, ^(A)give glory to the Lord God of Israel, ^(B)and make confession to Him, and ^(C)tell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

²⁹ and all their wealth. All their little ones and their wives they took captive; and they plundered even all that was in the houses.

³⁶ Then Jacob was angry and rebuked Laban, and Jacob answered and said to Laban: “What is my ^[a]trespass? What is my sin, that you have so hotly pursued me?

¹⁶ For all these riches which God has taken from our father are really ours and our children’s; now then, whatever God has said to you, do it.”

¹⁰ And Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might soon have lain with your wife, and ^(A)you would have brought guilt on us.”

⁹ And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I ^[a]offended you, ^(A)that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me ^(B)that ought not to be done.” ¹⁰ Then Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you have in view, that you have done this thing?”
