²⁴ Then God came to Laban the Aramean^(A) in a dream at night and said to him,^(B) “Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.”^(C)

⁵⁰ Laban and Bethuel^(A) answered, “This is from the Lord;^(B) we can say nothing to you one way or the other.^(C)

³ But God came to Abimelek^(A) in a dream^(B) one night and said to him, “You are as good as dead^(C) because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.”^(D)

²⁹ I have the power to harm you;^(A) but last night the God of your father^(B) said to me, ‘Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.’^(C)

¹³ ‘Even if Balak gave me all the silver and gold in his palace, I could not do anything of my own accord, good or bad, to go beyond the command of the Lord^(A)—and I must say only what the Lord says’?^(B)

⁴² If the God of my father,^(A) the God of Abraham^(B) and the Fear of Isaac,^(C) had not been with me,^(D) you would surely have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my hardship and the toil of my hands,^(E) and last night he rebuked you.^(F)”

¹⁹ While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat,^(A) his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent^(B) man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream^(C) because of him.”

²² And Absalom never said a word to Amnon, either good or bad;^(A) he hated^(B) Amnon because he had disgraced his sister Tamar.

²⁰ But after he had considered this, an angel^(A) of the Lord appeared to him in a dream^(B) and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.
