Moses Flees to Midian

¹¹ One day, ^(A)when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their ^(B)burdens, and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people.^[a]

²⁷ and said, “Blessed be the Lord, ^(A)the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken ^(B)his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the Lord ^(C)has led me in the way to the house of my master's kinsmen.”

⁸ Then Abram said to Lot, ^(A)“Let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen, ^(B)for we are kinsmen.^[a]
