¹⁸ He drove away all his livestock, all his property that he had gained, the livestock in his possession that he had acquired in ^(A)Paddan-aram, to go to the land of Canaan to his father Isaac.

²⁷ And Jacob came to his father Isaac at ^(A)Mamre, or ^(B)Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned. ²⁸ Now the days of Isaac were 180 years. ²⁹ And Isaac breathed his last, and he died ^(C)and was gathered to his people, old and full of days. And ^(D)his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

^21 (A)so that I come again to my father's house in peace, ^(B)then the Lord shall be my God,

⁴¹ Now Esau ^(A)hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him, and Esau said to himself, ^(B)“The days of mourning for my father are approaching; ^(C)then I will kill my brother Jacob.”

27 When Isaac was old and ^(A)his eyes were dim so that he could not see, he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son”; and he answered, “Here I am.” ² He said, “Behold, I am old; I do not know the day of my death.
