²⁴ He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the ^(A)cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

^17 (A)“You shall make a mercy seat^[a] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. ¹⁸ And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of ^(B)hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. ¹⁹ Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. ^(C)Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. ^20 (D)The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. ²¹ And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. ^22 (E)There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from ^(F)between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.

⁷ So he lined the house with gold—its beams, its thresholds, its walls, and its doors—^(A)and he carved cherubim on the walls.

^8 (B)And he made the Most Holy Place. Its length, corresponding to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth was twenty cubits. He overlaid it with 600 talents^[a] of fine gold. ⁹ The weight of gold for the nails was fifty shekels.^[b] And he overlaid ^(C)the upper chambers with gold.

^10 (D)In the Most Holy Place he made two cherubim of wood^[c] and overlaid^[d] them with gold. ¹¹ The wings of the cherubim together extended twenty cubits: one wing of the one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub; ¹² and of this cherub, one wing, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and the other wing, also of five cubits, was joined to the wing of the first cherub. ¹³ The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits. The cherubim^[e] stood on their feet, ^(E)facing the nave. ^14 (F)And he made the veil of blue and purple and crimson fabrics and fine linen, and he worked cherubim on it.

^12 (A)And their whole body, their rims, and their spokes, their wings,^[a] and the wheels were full of eyes all around—the wheels that the four of them had. ¹³ As for the wheels, they were called in my hearing ^(B)“the whirling wheels.” ^14 (C)And every one had four faces: ^(D)the first face was the face of the cherub, and the second face was ^(E)a human face, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.

^23 (A)In the inner sanctuary ^(B)he made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high. ²⁴ Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the length of the other wing of the cherub; it was ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other. ²⁵ The other cherub also measured ten cubits; both cherubim had the same measure and the same form. ²⁶ The height of one cherub was ten cubits, and so was that of the other cherub. ²⁷ He put the cherubim in the innermost part of the house. ^(C)And the wings of the cherubim were spread out so that a wing of one touched the one wall, and a wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; their other wings touched each other in the middle of the house. ²⁸ And he overlaid the cherubim with gold.

⁶ and before the throne there was ^(A)as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.

And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are ^(B)four living creatures, ^(C)full of eyes in front and behind: ^7 (D)the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. ⁸ And the four living creatures, ^(E)each of them with six wings, are ^(F)full of eyes all around and within, and ^(G)day and night they never cease to say,
