⁷ Then I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river. He raised both his hands^[a](A) toward heaven and swore by Him who lives eternally^(B) that it would be for a time, times, and half a time.^(C) When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be completed.

²⁴ Then comes the end,^(A) when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father,^(B) when He abolishes all rule and all authority and power.^(C)

⁹ The coming of the lawless one is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,^(A)

¹⁰ and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.^(A)

⁹ So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent,^(A) who is called the Devil^[a] and Satan,^[b](B) the one who deceives the whole world.^(C) He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

⁶³ The Spirit^(A) is the One who gives life. The flesh doesn’t help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

²¹ And just as the Father raises^(A) the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to anyone He wants to.^(B)
