¹⁴ So the Lord God said to the serpent:

Curses on Disobedience^(A)

¹⁵ “But it shall come to pass, ^(B)if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

¹⁶ “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.

¹⁷ “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.

¹⁸ “Cursed shall be the ^[a]fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.

¹⁹ “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.

²⁰ “The Lord will send on you ^(C)cursing, ^(D)confusion, and ^(E)rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me.

^25 (A)You shall therefore distinguish between clean animals and unclean, between unclean birds and clean, ^(B)and you shall not make yourselves ^[a]abominable by beast or by bird, or by any kind of living thing that creeps on the ground, which I have separated from you as ^[b]unclean.

Animal Control Laws

²⁸ “If an ox gores a man or a woman to death, then ^(A)the ox shall surely be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be ^[a]acquitted. ²⁹ But if the ox ^[b]tended to thrust with its horn in times past, and it has been made known to his owner, and he has not kept it confined, so that it has killed a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned and its owner also shall be put to death. ³⁰ If there is imposed on him a sum of money, then he shall pay ^(B)to redeem his life, whatever is imposed on him. ³¹ Whether it has gored a son or gored a daughter, according to this judgment it shall be done to him. ³² If the ox gores a male or female servant, he shall give to their master ^(C)thirty shekels of silver, and the ^(D)ox shall be stoned.
